This is the link for the widget that I have chosen. It is a news widget.
It can help students develop the good habit of reading the news regularly and keep track of what is happening around the world. Moreover, students gain general knowledge and this encourages learning beyond the classroom.
I think that this widget is very useful particularly for teaching English or Social Studies. Students can apply their knowledge from the news they have read and use it in their English essays or for answering Social Studies questions.

How useful is blog for enhancing students' learning?
Blog is a tool for sharing and exchanging information on the web. It allows interaction and makes learning engaging.
Blogs serve as useful teaching resources to enhance students' learning through teacher-student interaction or student-student interaction. Students can use the teacher's blog to participate in online discussions regarding what they have learnt. Moreover, students can use their own blog to share opinions or raise questions. Hence, learning can also take place outside the classroom and students can learn from one another apart from textbooks and instructors.
In addition, as students write or give comments through blogging, they develop accountability and critical thinking skills because they would think more in depth before submitting their posts as what they write on the blog can be viewed by anyone on the internet.

ICT
ICT stands for Information and Communication Technology.
Examples of ICT in schools are discussion forums, blogs, powerpoint, and other e-learning tools. ICT allows learning through interaction, access to more teaching and learning resourses apart from textbooks and promotes self-directed and independent learning.
On the whole, ICT is a very useful teaching tool as it is more productive and interesting. It is more productive as students can learn independently through gathering information from the internet. On the other hand, lessons could be made more interesting with more visualizations because teachers are able to teach through videos and animations.
